What is Target Talk?

Target Talk is a place for you to discuss ideas, opinions and experiences about shopping with other shoppers. Conversations vary; anything from feedback on your local store to ideas for new products or feedback on the latest advertising campaigns.

How are my survey responses handled?

Survey responses are collated and analysed collectively by Evolve Research, and are then presented and used by key team members in Target, who will then use this data to make informed decisions on how to improve Target's product and services.

Who manages Target Talk?

Target Talk is managed by a team of researchers at Evolve Research and Target. To get in touch with Target Talk you can email us on or go to the contact us page once you’ve registered.

Will you respond to every post on Target Talk?

In short, no. Target Talk is a place for you to discuss ideas with other shoppers, and for Target Talk to listen to that discussion. The Team at Target Talk will read every post, and where we can add value, we will comment.

If an idea of mine is implemented, will I get credit?

If an idea of yours is implemented, we will give you credit on our community, but we won’t be providing compensation to members if we use an idea discussed on Target Talk. Please take the time to look through our Terms and Conditions if you would like to know more.

How do I give some feedback on my local store?

I am new to Target Talk. How do I get started?

Please register for Target Talk by providing us with your First Name, Last name and email address and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Statement.

Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive an email confirming your email address and a link that will direct you to the Target Talk site.

From there we’d love you to fill out some profile information so we can get to know you better and can tailor the most relevant content for you.

I’ve been a member of Target Talk before, can I join again?

If you have been removed from Target Talk, you may not re-join. If you have chosen to leave Target Talk of your own accord but have changed your mind, please email and we can help reinstate your membership.

How do I update my details?

You can update your details at any time via your Profile page.

Prizes and rewards

How do I earn points?

You can earn points on Target Talk by being active on the community. Quick polls, surveys and conversations all earn you points. Each point gives you an entry into the monthly prize draw. Click on My Account in the top right hand corner of the page to see how many points you have earned. For more detail, you can also click on My Activity, which you will find on the My Account menu under My Prizes.

Can I lose points on the Target Talk?

If you post the same comment multiple times on Target Talk, the comments will be removed and points earned from these comments deducted from your account. Repeated posting of the same comment may result in the withdrawal of your membership.

Tell me more about the prize draws

Target Talk offers entry into a monthly draw with $1,000 in eGift cards to be won each month. Every point you earn completing Target Talk activities gives you another entry into the prize draw.

How do I collect my prize?

Prizes can be redeemed via the My Prizes then My Winnings page under My Account.

How will I receive my prize?

Your prize will be emailed to you when you redeem. The email will have a link to the GiftPay website where you select your gift card(s). If you do not receive the email containing the link, please get in touch with and they will be able to reissue the link to you.

Where can I use my gift card?

We have eGift cards from a variety of major retailers. Our partners include Target, Coles, iTunes, JB HI-FI, The Australian Cancer Research Foundation and Lifeline to name just a few. A full list of the currently available rewards can be viewed here. Prizes can only be used in Australia.

We encourage all members of Target Talk to share the thoughts and experiences openly. Members are expected to be respectful of other members. Content deemed to be offensive, abusive, harassing, untrue or unkind will be removed from Target Talk.

Any negative comments or content posted around religion or race can result in immediate withdrawal of your Target Talk membership.

The best way to get the most out of Target Talk is to be an active contributor. Share thoughts and opinions, be genuine and enjoy being a part of something fun.

The moderators are here to help ensure Target Talk is an enjoyable place for members to have their say and share what matters to them. If you are asked to do something by a moderator, please do it. Ignoring moderator instructions may result in you being removed from Target Talk.
